Tuscan-Style™ Cantaloupe Basil Honey Dip
Yields 8 servings
Ingredients:
- ½ of a Dulcinea Tuscan-Style™ Cantaloupe, seeded
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil, very finely minced
- 1 (7 ounce) container crème fraiche
- Dulcinea Tuscan-Style™ Cantaloupe balls
- Dulcinea PureHeart® Watermelon balls
- Fried beet chips*
- *Peel and very thinly slice fresh beets (using a mandolin is best for thin, even slices). Deep fry in very hot oil until crisp.
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 30 minutes
Directions:
- Puree ½ cantaloupe in a blender or small food processor.
- Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth or a coffee filter and set over a bowl.
- Pour cantaloupe puree over cheesecloth and let stand for 30 minutes or until mixture is thick.
- Spread crème fraiche in a decorative bowl.
- Drizzle with cantaloupe puree, basil and honey.
- Drag a knife through mixture in a circular motion to swirl ingredients.
- Serve with watermelon and cantaloupe melon balls and beet chips for dipping.
